French Connection/Ronin
Action - view more
This double feature presents a pair of action-packed crime-drama classics by two of Hollywood's most veteran directors. William Friedkin's THE FRENCH CONNECTION (1971) is based on the true story of two New York City police detectives (Gene Hackman and Roy Scheider) and their investigation into a French heroin smuggling operation. And in John Frankenheimer's RONIN (1998), a group of former government agents (including Robert De Niro, Jean Reno, and Stellan Skarsgaard) have been hired by the IRA to steal a briefcase containing unknown contents somewhere in Europe. See individual titles for further details.
